Hello Readers! It's been too long. I'm back and yes, Brazil was BANANAS!! Look out for my article on all things street fashion Rio style in the upcoming issue of The Source Latino.

For now, it is about to be a holiday weekend and I know a lot of you are traveling around. So here is a little breakdown of somethings going on in not only PGH but NYC too. I got mad love for my NY readers, as I am a native my damn self. And since I've still got my ear to the city concrete, I'ma put you on to some parties you may or may not know about. Oh and NY.. be careful, a lot of 'burghers are headed your way! PA invasion baby!!

So, TONIGHT -- Thursday July 2nd

If you're gonna be in PGH -- check out DJ Nugget and Endless @ Elixir on Carson Street or head to Pittsburgh Cafe to hear DJ Noetik 5000 spin Hip Hop, Club, and R&B (Meyran Ave in Oakland)

If you're in NYC --- go to Saki Bomb Thursdays at Suzie Wong's (27th btwn 9th & 10th) Music by Big Ben and SJ Structure. Drop The Vamp @ the door. Also, the LOLA NYC Boys are kicking off their weekend long BBQ @ 10pm in the Penthouse Suite of the Rivington Hotel (btwn Ludlow & Essex).

TOMORROW -- Friday July 3rd

It's First Fridays PGH @ the Shadow Lounge & Ava in East Liberty. "Summer Breeze" is an upscale event so no hats and definitely no athletic gear. July babies get in free before 11pm. Music in Ava all night by my boy DJ Vex!

If you're in the mood for something casual head over to The New Amsterdam on Butler Street for some beers, House & Funk music, before stumbling down the street to Your Inner Vagabond for some late-night lounging and tasty treats.

INDEPENDENCE DAY --- Saturday July 4th

Most people are BBQing and chilling with friends and family. If you plan on headed out after-dark, check out: Fab 5's Take Off Saturdays @ Dreamz Nightclub before Club Zen in PGH's Station Square and enjoy more food with their outdoor BBQ and alcoholic Snow Cones! This party usually goes late so my suggestion is to check out the Fab 5 Party and make Zen you're night-cap.

If you're in NYC you'll want to hit up Imperial for Carnival Saturday presented by Upscale Crowd Ent and Caribbean Fuse. $10 before 12am.

Sunday July 5th
